MCEL keeps a small set of facilities maintained and available for use by local clubs, schools, charities and community groups. Choose a space, pick a time, and we’ll confirm within one business day.
All MCEL facilities are made available to community groups at no cost or low cost. Commercial bookings are not accepted — only verified community use.
Days marked with a dot have at least one free slot. Past dates and unavailable days cannot be selected. Times follow Melbourne local time.
Standard slots are two hours. If you need an extended booking, add a note in the next step and we’ll work with you.

Bring people together over food. Our Community BBQ is available for markets, fundraisers, sporting days and neighbourhood functions. MCEL provides the BBQ with gas bottles, a marquee and an esky. No cooking utensils or food are included. Suitable for up to 80 people.

The facilities MCEL maintains (including the Community BBQ and Community Hall) are made available primarily to verified community organisations operating within or directly serving the City of Maroondah.
Bookings can be changed or cancelled by replying to your confirmation email. We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice where possible, so the space can be released to other community groups.
All MCEL facilities are alcohol-aware and inclusive spaces. Activities must comply with Victorian health, safety and noise regulations. Smoking is not permitted inside any MCEL facility.
To the extent permitted by law, MCEL is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or our facilities. Hirers are responsible for ensuring appropriate insurance is in place for the activity they intend to run.
